Mechanical polishing is the smoothing of a metal or plastic surface using mechanical tools and abrasives. Deburring is the removal of raised particles and shavings that appear when metal or plastics materials are machined.

Passivation is a treatment of stainless steel with a mild oxidant that is intended to remove free iron and foreign matter. At Olympic Systems we passivate using our citric acid process.

Electropolishing is an electrochemical process by which surface material is removed by an anodic dissolution. During our electropolish process we can achieve a 3 Ra surface finish without compromising dimensional properties. We are capable of electropolishing and passivating AL6XN and 300 and 400 series stainless steel.
